Feeding the Future – Trust, Sustainability, and the New Demands on Food Production
Time: Wednesday, June 25, 2025, 11:00–11:55
Food production is under pressure from sustainability demands, rising costs, and calls for independence. How are societal expectations and corporate responsibility reshaping the industry—and what drives consumer trust in a sector that is vital to resilience and self-sufficiency?

In today’s volatile world, Sweden and the Nordic region face unprecedented challenges to food security. Climate change, geopolitical tensions, and supply chain vulnerabilities call for a resilient response.
Consumer trust is at the heart of this transformation. As expectations regarding sustainability and ethical sourcing rise, trust has become the essential bridge between producers and consumers—determining both market success and regulatory support. In this seminar: The measured trust levels of the most prominent food producers in the Nordic countries will be revealed and discussed.
The factors driving trust in the food industry are analyzed using quantitative data. These findings serve as a foundation for industry leaders to chart a path toward resilience for Nordic food systems.
