Our story

The seeds of what was later to become Reputation&Trust Analytics were first planted in the late 1990s at the Helsinki University of Technology by a group of young entrepreneurs led by Harri Leinikka. T-Media, the Finnish parent company of Reputation&Trust Analytics, originally started as an Employer Branding Research and Communications Agency.

From the early days, we’ve always strived to help companies to succeed while acting responsibly. Over the years, what started with employer branding and communications turned into comprehensive Reputation&Trust advisory services when the Head of our Business Development, Riku Ruokolahti, got the spark for reputation management while doing his MBA at Henley Business School in the UK.

The carefully crafted Reputation&Trust model was first introduced in 2013. Since then, it has been used more than 2,000 times all over the world. It’s used by every university in Finland, most of Finland’s prestigious family-owned companies, internationally listed companies, and numerous governmental organizations, as well as by start-ups that have grown to be global leaders in their fields.

As the range of organizations employing the Reputation&Trust model has continued to grow, customer loyalty has remained remarkably strong across all sectors. Each of the three organizations that first adopted our model – Nokia, the Helsinki University of Technology (now part of Aalto University), and the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland – continues to use it.




Since its inception, our company has prioritized quality, multidisciplinary expertise, and cross-functional collaboration. Through ongoing dialogue with customers and stakeholders, as well as the utilization of best practices from academic research, we have achieved outstanding product outcomes. Despite the challenges posed by global crises in recent years, our team remains dedicated to research and development and data analytics, ensuring continuous evolution and improvement of both the company and its products.

Our people and teamwork have consistently served as key cornerstones of our company, both in the past and to this day. Our mission today is to foster trust in society by assisting organizations in analyzing the structure of their reputation and identifying areas for improvement. Through this process, we aim to cultivate trust among their stakeholders.

A strong reputation attracts better employees and loyal customers willing to recommend the organization to others. A strong reputation makes access to capital easier and creates a social mandate to operate and grow.
